Senior Process Improvement Specialist

The Senior Process Improvement Specialist reports to the Senior Director, Talent, Communications, and Business Administration. This position will play a critical role in enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and implementing process improvements at Canon Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading projects using Lean, Sigma, or Total Quality Management (TQM) to drive ongoing process improvements.
- Facilitating meetings and shadowing teams to analyze processes, document workflows, and identify improvement opportunities through optimization, redesign, automation, or technology.
- Collaborating with internal teams and IT to interpret business requirements and develop practical solutions.
- Creating reporting tools to provide senior leadership with project updates, feedback, recommendations, and key metrics.
- Leading the integration of Canon Canada in Canon business practices, overseeing the process improvement team, and facilitating KAIZEN sessions to educate employees on tools and operational excellence.
- Analyzing data, performance metrics and KPIs to quantify process inefficiencies, determine ROI and track improvements.
To Succeed, You Will Need:
- Post-secondary education in Project Management, Operations Management or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience
- Strong analytical skills to assess business requirements and deliver impactful technology solutions
- Expert process management skills to understand, apply, and train others on practical process improvements
- Exceptional time management and multitasking skills to effectively balance multiple tasks and projects with varying scopes and priorities
- Advanced skills in Project Management, PowerPoint, Visio
- Intermediate proficiency with data analysis tools and software to support data-driven decision-making (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
- Intermediate knowledge of process improvement methodologies and tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, Human-Centered Design, TQM
