Corporate Communications Specialist

The Corporate Communications Specialist will report to the Senior Director of Talent, Communications, and Business Administration and will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of internal communication plans that align with Canon Canada’s business strategy and objectives while promoting business communications with all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crafting clear and compelling internal communications, including executive messages, speaking points, town halls, and corporate publications.
  • Developing presentations and key messages that align with business strategy and engage employees at all levels.
  • Contributing to special corporate projects and initiatives by supporting communication and branding efforts across the organization.
  • Supporting corporate social responsibility and environmental initiatives, including the administration of sponsorships and donations.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of annual strategic communication plans that enhance knowledge, strengthen company culture, and boost employee engagement nationwide.
  • Administering internal digital channels, coordinating content development, and engaging creative resources to deliver impactful internal communications.
  • Researching and identifying communication trends and best practices to ensure messages effectively reach and resonate with internal audiences.
  • Collaborating with the Canon USA communications team to align and promote Canon Canada’s corporate messaging and internal news.

To Succeed, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Business.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate communications
  • Solid understanding of Canon Canada’s communication systems and tools.
  • Proficient project and process management skills to coordinate assts, develop timelines, and meet external deadlines.
  • Strong technical skills with content management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Scala, PoliteMail), Canva, Power Point, and Excel.
  • Effective time management and multitasking abilities to adapt to shifting communication priorities.
